Unless you were born Jewish, to Jewish parents, you are a gentile.  That's not a slight, nor a degrading title.  You cannot help what you were born as.  You are a Noahide! A son (or daughter) of Noah.  This doesn't mean you don't have a place in this world, or the world to come.  There are some great books available that explain what a Noahide is, and what is expected of you.  Your life has purpose!  While you can certainly explore a conversion (properly) to Judaism, you absolutely don't have to.  You can still learn about God and your purpose in this world. 

As a Noahide, you are free of the condemnation that the church preaches.  As a non-Jew, you can still follow Judaism - as a Noahide.  You have no prohibition from eating pork and shellfish or even from driving on Shabbat (sabbath).  It's literally so easy to live as a Noahide, you have to go out of your way to not follow the basic principles!
